Private Islands
Advanced mobility, off-grid energy, satellite connectivity and AI have quietly removed the constraints that made thousands of islands unbuildable. The market has not repriced them yet.

The idea
Across Atlantic Canada, Maine, Muskoka and Georgian Bay, thousands of islands were written off for the same three reasons: no road, no grid, no reliable communications. They still trade as recreational curiosities.
Electric and autonomous aircraft, modern microgrids, and satellite bandwidth have each dissolved one of those constraints. We combine them with a purpose-built AI and GIS engine to find the islands where the gap between price and possibility is widest.
We identify, option and develop them before the market catches up — as a platform, not a one-off.
Where we work
Our focus begins in cold-water markets, where the mispricing is deepest and our expertise runs longest. Atlantic Canada. Maine. Muskoka. Georgian Bay. From there, the same stack applies anywhere the constraints once made islands unbuildable.
Since 1997

privateislands.com was founded in 1997 and became one of the leading specialist private island brokerages in the world, working alongside Christie's Great Estates, Christie's International Real Estate, and Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate.
In that time we watched islands that once sold for five figures become mainstream lifestyle and wealth-storage assets. That shift took decades and was driven by access, affluence and culture.
The next shift will be driven by technology, and it is already underway. Private Islands exists to build on the far side of it.
Private Islands is the first venture developed inside the Organizational Singularity Studio — the venture methodology of Salim Ismail (Exponential Organizations) and James Drage (privateislands.com, 1997).
